The Procedures screen is a reference shelf. It lists your site’s standard operating procedures and work instructions so you can check how a task should be done, at your workstation, on your phone. Nothing here is a training assignment: opening a procedure is not recorded, and nothing needs to be acknowledged.

Where to find it: Training Centre > ··· (more, top right) > Procedures.

Concepts

Where a procedure appears What it is for
ProceduresLooking something up. Your site’s procedures register, open to read at any time. Nothing is recorded.
Document Training (home screen)Being trained on it. A controlled document assigned to you to read and acknowledge, or to pass a quiz on. Your completion is recorded. See Reading and acknowledging a document.

Quick start

  1. On the Training Centre home screen, open ··· in the top right and choose Procedures.
  2. Find the procedure under Standard Operating Procedures.
  3. Tap its link or one of its attached files. It opens in a new browser tab.
  4. Close that tab, or use the back arrow on the Procedures screen, to return to the Training Centre.

Each procedure is a card showing:

Part Notes
Name and descriptionAs entered by your company.
LinkIf the procedure lives somewhere else, such as a shared drive or intranet page, its address is shown and opens in a new tab. You may need access to that system.
Attached filesListed at the bottom of the card by file name, for example a PDF of the procedure. Tap one to open or download it.

A card with neither a link nor files has only its name and description to show. In that case the procedure itself has not been attached yet; ask your supervisor for a copy.

If your site has no active procedures, the screen shows No Procedures Available Standard operating procedures will appear here when available.

Availability and permissions

  • Every signed-in trainee can open Procedures. It lists the active procedures of your site.
  • The list comes from the Procedures register that staff maintain in QTRACA. Procedures they mark inactive, and procedures belonging to other sites, are not shown.
  • You can read procedures but not change them or attach files to them.

Things to know

  • Controlled documents from Document Management are not listed here, even when they are SOPs. They reach you through Document Training when you are assigned to them, and once completed they leave that list. Your site may keep the same procedure in both places.
  • There are no categories or search. Procedures are listed one after another, so scroll to find the one you need.
  • Reading a procedure here is not training. It does not count towards any course, document or learning path, and your supervisor cannot see that you opened it.
  • Files open outside the portal. On a shared tablet, close the file’s tab when you are done as well as the portal tab.
