QTRACA’s AI features — generating an SOP, reviewing a label, reading a supplier invoice and the rest — are measured in AI credits. Your plan gives you a monthly allowance, and you can buy more in blocks. This article explains what a credit is, how many you get, what each action typically uses, when your allowance renews, and what happens when you run out.

Where to find it: your user profile, reached from your avatar in the top corner → Account Billing → the AI credits panel.

Concepts

Term Meaning
AI creditA fixed, small amount of AI processing. It is the same size for every customer in every country, which is why an action costs the same number of credits wherever you are.
AllowanceHow many credits you can use each billing period: your plan’s credits plus any AI credit blocks.
AI credit blockAn add-on that raises your allowance every period for as long as you keep it.
Billing periodThe period between one invoice and the next. Your allowance runs on this clock, not on the calendar month. On yearly billing, the allowance is still monthly, and renews on the same day each month.

Why AUD and NZD accounts receive half. QTRACA prices its plans dollar for dollar — the same number in USD, AUD and NZD. For almost everything that is possible, because users, sites and products cost QTRACA nothing extra to serve. AI is the exception: every credit is real processing that QTRACA pays for in US dollars, whatever currency you pay in. A credit is the same amount of work everywhere, so the allowance is scaled instead of the price. Everything else about your plan is identical in every currency.

Your own allowance is shown on Account Billing and on each plan card on the Change plan screen, already in your currency’s terms.

What a credit buys

The AI credits panel on Account Billing showing 2 of 750 used this month and the What does a credit buy table

Press What does a credit buy? on Account Billing to see this table. The figures are typical, not fixed:

Action Approximate credits
Review a labelabout 26
Generate an SOPabout 20
Extract a supplier invoiceabout 8
Extract a supplier specabout 4
Generate an insights summaryabout 3
Check allergens on a label photoabout 2
Generate a formabout 2
Generate a quizabout 2

As the screen puts it: “These are a guide only. What an action actually costs varies with the complexity of the task, because credits are charged at the true cost of the work done — so the same allowance goes further on short tasks than on long generated documents.” A long SOP or a dense label uses more than the typical figure; a short one uses less.

As a rough guide, 750 credits covers something like 20 label reviews and 10 SOPs in a month, with room for smaller actions besides.

When credits renew

  • On monthly billing, your allowance renews with your billing period, when that period’s invoice is paid — not on the 1st of the calendar month. If you are billed on the 20th, your credits renew on the 20th.
  • On yearly billing, you still get a monthly allowance, and it renews on the same day each month: the day of the month your yearly subscription started. If you subscribed on the 20th, your credits renew on the 20th of every month. In a month too short for that day — the 31st in April, say — they renew on the month’s last day.
  • Unused credits do not carry over. Each period starts again from zero used.
  • Adding a block applies straight away, like any other increase, and is charged pro rata on your next invoice. Removing a block waits for your renewal. See Managing your plan.
  • During a free trial there is no billing period; the trial’s 250 credits are for the trial.

Account Billing shows your usage as, for example, 2 of 750 used this month. “This month” there means your current billing period — or, on yearly billing, the current month of it.

When you run out

Once your allowance is used, AI actions are refused until it renews or you add more. When you try one, a window headed AI Credits Used Up says:

“You’ve used all your AI credits for this billing period. They renew at the start of your next billing period, or you can buy more credits now.”

Buy more credits opens the Change plan screen, where you add AI credit blocks in the Add-ons step and press Update subscription. The extra credits are available as soon as the change is live, usually within a few seconds. Close dismisses the window.

Account Billing also shows the AI credits bar in red with “You have used all your AI credits for this period. AI actions will be refused until your allowance resets or you change plan.”

Running out affects AI actions only. Everything else in QTRACA carries on as normal.

Availability and permissions

  • AI credits apply to accounts on QTRACA’s current pricing. Accounts on the previous plan structure keep their existing AI usage limit, which resets on the 1st of each month, and never see credits.
  • Credits are shared by everyone on the account; there is no per-user allowance.
  • Account Billing, where usage is shown and credits are bought, is available to billing owners.

Things to know

  • The credit table is a guide. Budget with some headroom, especially if you generate long documents.
  • Label reviews and SOPs are the expensive actions — roughly ten times a form or a quiz. Most of an allowance usually goes on those two.
  • A credit is never shown in money. QTRACA does not charge per action; you pay for your plan and any blocks, and credits are how the allowance is measured.
  • On a free trial, Buy more credits takes you to the Change plan screen to subscribe; there is no way to add credits to a trial itself.
