Enhanced UI Layout is an updated presentation of the standard screens — lists, forms, action buttons and record cards. The data and the workflow are unchanged; what changes is how they are laid out and how actions are presented.
Where to switch it on: Enhanced UI Layout in Account Settings.
What it affects
The setting is applied throughout the application rather than to one screen. Lists, record layouts and action buttons all render in the enhanced form when it is on, so the change is consistent wherever you go.
Two further settings extend it to specific areas:
| Setting | Effect |
|---|---|
| Enhanced UI Batch Workflow | The step-by-step workflow view for batches, and the touch version of the batch schedule (week view, day view and schedule panel). See Batch schedule. |
| Enhanced UI Form Workflow | The step-by-step workflow view for forms. |
Both can be used independently, so you can adopt the enhanced layout generally while keeping a workflow view off, or the reverse.
Working alongside large fonts
The enhanced layout is independent of Display Large Fonts and Buttons in Operator UI. They combine: the enhanced layout with large fonts is the usual choice for shop-floor tablets, where controls need to be readable and reachable with gloves on.
Things to know
- It is an account-wide setting. Everyone sees the same layout; it is not a per-user preference.
- Nothing is lost by switching. The same records, fields and permissions apply either way — only the presentation differs.
- Try it with the people who use it most. Because it changes the look for the whole account, it is worth showing the shop floor before switching everyone over.
