Your profile holds the things that are yours rather than the account's — your name and contact details, and the preferences that decide what QTRACA looks like when you sign in.
These settings affect only you. Account Settings apply to everyone; your profile applies to your login alone.
Where to find it: your user profile, reached from your avatar in the top corner.
Personal information
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Avatar | Your picture, shown wherever your actions appear. |
| First Name / Last Name | How you are named on records you create, approve or sign. |
| User Name | Your display name. |
| Where notifications are sent, and the address you sign in with. |
Your name matters more than it might appear: it is what shows against an approval, a QA release or a corrective action, so it should be the name a colleague or an auditor would recognise.
Personal settings
| Setting | Effect |
|---|---|
| Language | The language the interface is presented in. |
| Time Zone | The zone times are shown in — worth setting correctly if you work across sites in different zones, since it affects how timestamps read. |
| Default Site | The site you start in when you sign in. Most screens are scoped to the current site, so this decides what you see first. |
| Default Dashboard | The dashboard you land on. |
| Default IoT Dashboard | The monitoring dashboard you land on where IoT is in use. |
| Default Signature | The signature applied when you sign a form or an approval. |
Things to know
- Default Site is the setting most worth getting right. If a list looks empty or a record is missing, you are usually in a different site from the one you expect.
- A signature is required for approvals where the account has that turned on, so set one up before it stops you mid-approval.
- Profile settings do not affect anyone else. Two people can work in the same account in different languages, time zones and default sites.
