Locations can be setup to help control stock. You can setup locations for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods stock.
When locations are in use you will need to enter a location when receipting or dispatching goods. All batches use the production location to source raw materials for the batch and to produce WIP/FG products into.
To setup a location perform the following steps:
- Go to Setup ---> Locations
- Click the button 'New Location'
- On the 'Detail' tab, enter a unique code to identify the location, and a description
- Save the location
Once your locations have been setup you should set the default locations for the site.
