By default a form list will only display the status, created dates, last modified date of a form. This makes it hard to see what the form is actually about.
You can bring fields through from the form on to the list by checking the 'Show on List View' field.
One of the fields shown on the list can also be specified as the default sort field. This means everytime the list is opened it will be sorted by this field.
When fields are shown on the list view, the view will be displayed with more detail.
