If a batch has a status of 'Processing' or 'Complete' it can be placed on hold. This stops further modification of the batch or if the batch is complete stops the selection of the batch for dispatch.
To place a batch on hold click the hand button from either the list or the batch detail screen.

If a batch is on onhold then there are two actions that can be taken:
- Release Batch, batch is released back to its previous status i.e. 'Pprocessing' or 'Complete'.
- Dispose Batch, batch is disposed and status is set to 'Disposed'
